Once again, I had big plans for shooting video at Unadilla that did not come to fruition. As you all know by now, I was out on the track like a fucking boss. For the most part, I was shooting photos, but I did have the Go Pro in hand to get a little bit of live-action material, as well. I pretty much wanted to video blog it, so I was talking a lot to the cam, not getting a ton of race video. I have never touched one of these things before, so I learned several lessons after seeing this footage:
- There is a reason everyone shooting video with a Go Pro uses some sort of stabilizing apparatus. That shit is so shaky it looks like Michael J. Fox was the DP on this project.
- Go Pros are not audio friendly when you are messing around with them in your hand (another reason for some sort of apparatus), or when you are trying to speak to them. Enjoy that crackling sound and trying to decipher what the fuck I am saying.
- Go Pros do not have enough memory for me. That is why there is no more footy.
Well, I figured that I would put this footage together anyway for shits and gigs. It’s shaky, has poor audio quality, and pretty much the worst video I have ever made. But I was still on the infield where girls were throwing numbers and hotel keys at me like I was Bieber or something, so why don’t you eat shit?
