This is one of the aspects of being a media mogul that I absolutely love – telling people who are trying to scare me to literally get fucked. Honestly, I am pretty careful about what I write up here. Names, specific accusations, etc. I generally steer clear of (other than the title of this post). Usually I would not share something like this, not because I care about these people’s privacy, but because it is usually not very funny. But I was proud of myself for this one, like a kid who finally used the big boy potty and didn’t shit all over the floor. I received this e-mail this morning from a disgruntled Canadian regarding the Kickstart The Holidays post (btw, I still have no idea what video is the one she is so pissed about):

I’m asking you to remove the video from your web site and all the comments made towards the **** family. I’m forwarding the link to your website, video and comments to my lawyer. If the video and comments aren’t removed by Friday Dec. 30 I will ask my lawyer to move forward with legal action against the website. By not removing the video and comments your taking the position that you and your website promote this type of behaviour.

What legal action could you possibly think you have the opportunity to take here? I have no idea who this **** family is, but there is no reference to them whatsoever in my writing. No one is forcing anyone else to view or accept anything written by me or my readers. The video is a public video, as whoever uploaded it would have had to set it as public in order for anyone else to see it. They had and still have every opportunity to set the video to private or delete it, which they have not. What type of behavior are you saying that I am promoting? Making fun of quad riders? If so, you are 100% correct in saying that I promote that behavior. I want ATVs to be made illegal so no one has to suffer like this again.
I am much more interested, however, in talking about your actions here. I know that there is no legal move for you, and I suspect that you do to. If not, then you are probably just stupid (a possibility that I have not ruled out, since you seem to love quad riders). If so, then you are using the legal talk to scare me in to doing something that you want. While not illegal to my knowledge, the bottom line is that this is a form of terrorism. You are attempting to use scare tactics to coax another party into doing something against their will. Thank you but I will not sit idly by and allow this behavior. Thousands of brave men and women have fought and died in the pursuit of exterminating your type (terrorists), and it would be a disservice to them for me to do nothing about it. Get fucked. Osama’s dead, get over it.
