Sipes vs. Moss – BROing For The Jugular

Normally I would go ahead and take the sarcastic route in commenting on a video like this, but in all seriousness you need to praise Ryan Sipes for not absolutely leveling Matt Moss when they were both just cold chilling in that turn while Chatfield was all “Cheers, gov-nah” and took the last spot in the main. Sipes has never struck me as a tough guy, but right after he gets tossed over the berm, he gets up and the first thing in his immediate line of vision is Moss grabbing his bike. I honestly thought he was going to straight up tackle him. I don’t know why; like I said, that sort of behavior is not Sipes’ M.O. But I still expected it to happen.

Of course, now Moss has a lifetime of looking over his shoulder to look forward to, because Sipes now officially rides for the Metal Mulisha. Mossy, you are as good as dead, BRO. Larry Link has nothing better to do these days, so he is going to head over to your place with his murdered out CR250 with no number plate, in his cargo shorts and Bell Moto 6 and Shawshank your ass until you bleed out like Mr. Hands. People not in the know are going to have to Google several subjects to understand that last sentence, so get to work.

Canard’s Raise It Up Tribute At Phoenix Was Bad As Fuck

Canard Raise It Up

I was bombarded with tweets and messages after SPEED showed a clip from the opening ceremonies on the broadcast and you could clearly see Trey Canard busting out a Raise It Up wheelie for the kids. I can’t find any video of it online, but Racer X‘s Simon Cudby snapped this gem at the event. Some people were even bold enough to say that he was giving them shit by pulling that in the opening ceremonies. Word, BRO? You think that Trey slayed a swagged out wheelie in front of thousands of people to make fun of Raise It Up. The fact is that every pro I have ever talked to about Raise It Up has agreed about one thing: They are fucking unbelievable. They bring something to the table that you simply do not.

A few people have actually gotten in touch with me and said that they are sick of all the Raise It Up love that I give on the site. Um, are you serious, BROs? Maybe Motocross Action is more your speed. Anyone who can see that shit and does not have the utmost respect for the RIU BROs is one or both of two things: 1)Not a core MX BRO, or 2) a racist. I know that there are a lot of you number 2s out there, especially in this sport, but at BROtocross we subscribe to a more evolved outlook on humanity. And that outlook is that the B-more boys have BRO support every day of the week. Trey gets it, that’s why he, Durham, Izzi, Stewart, and countless other pros and BROs have exemplified their support for the Wheelie Boyz (if you don’t spell it with a “z”, then you are a fucking terrorist. Fact).

The Phoenix BROpinion

Dungey Phoenix

Ok, let’s be honest: I did not think Dungey had a prayer of winning this race. He got handled in the heat, and I was all set to go with the Tebow comparisons (this all happened as Tebow was getting fucking murdered by the Pats). I still say that Dungey is wicked Tebow-status, but he definitely took that race by the balls. Am I really surprised that Dungey won on the KTM? Not so much. I said it right away when he signed with them that I figured he would be about the same, probably a little worse. He has one win so far, which is solid, and I figure he can probably grab a couple more. What is his bonus package like in the KTM contract? Here’s betting that Dungey will be using 20s to wipe his ass rather than the KTM brand toilet paper that his brilliantly orange bathroom is surely equipped with.

James Bubba crashed again. What the fuck? At this point, I just want to see him race straight up just to see if I am correct in my notion that he is the fastest rider in terms of raw speed. After the first two rounds, I think I would honestly have to categorize Villopoto in the same speed realm as Stewart. Obviously, Villopoto has proven to be the better racer, but we are talking flat-out speed right now. For me, Dungey and Reed are clearly a tier below these two. Not far off by any stretch of the imagination, but they are not on the same level in terms of straight up speed. If you feel like arguing with me, then let loose the juice, even though I will completely ignore you because I am more important. Of course, the bottom line is that speed does not mean dick if you get shitty starts and crash every fucking moto. Remember when James said that he never practices starts?

In other news, the term Lites still sucks. Dean Wilson won the 250 class, no surprise there. If you really thought that the sniffles was going to hold him back from crushing a 15 lapper, you probably need reminding that you are late for your Best Buddies meeting. Remember your propeller cap!

#PhoenixBRO Live Blog

Phoenix

Full disclosure because people get fucking anal about this shit: I am not at Phoenix. I am watching this race via the broadcast and will be playing the Ralph Sheheen gay drinking game, although slightly modified because I don’t drink Appletinis. Not to mention I am in Utah right now so I would be completely blacked the fuck out if I was crushing sugary drinks like that.

Reports from practice are that Stewart was the fastest in the 1st timed practice, but did not ride the last one because he is feeling under the weather (bullshit). Qualifying results look like this:
250: Wilson, Tomac, Osborne (wait, what?), Anderson (wait, WHAT??), and Davalos
450: Villopoto, Reed, Dungey, Windham, Weimer

Moving on, we are still doing the live Twitter feed, so just toss a #PhoenixBRO in your tweets to participate. Why no SX in the hashtag? Because you and your followers should know that the only important thing happening in Phoenix right now is Supercross. If they don’t, they suck.

Here is some raw footy from practice at Phoenix from some BRO up in the stands apparently. Like, if you work for Feld, can you not just get out on the track? No way BRO, industry seating is where it’s at.

Osborne looked fast and has completely adopted a Euro SX style. Thought he was going to kill himself in that rhythm section. And nice fall, Sipes. I remember my first seat-bounce.

Reports  are that Stewart was the fastest in the 1st timed practice, but did not ride this last one because he is feeling under the weather (bullshit).
